Government is out of touch say UK tenants

Tenants in the UK don’t feel that enough is being done to help them on to the letting market, new research suggests. The survey by online letting agency LetBritain found that 67% of UK adults believe the Government is out of touch with the wants and needs of tenants, doing nothing to help Generation Rent become owners.

The research also revealed that 39% of tenants nationwide choose to rent so they can live in a better property than they would ever have a chance of owning.

Another interesting result of the survey was that 42% of tenants In London were considering purchasing a buy-to-let in another part of the country in order to get on to the housing ladder whilst continuing to live in rented accommodation in the capital.
