“Pointless” database of rogue landlords

David Cox, ARLA’s chief executive, has branded the government’s long-awaited database of rogue landlords as “pointless” because it will not be made public.

The initial premise of a publicly accessible list of rogue landlords would likely have highlighted these persistent operators and driven them out of business, as similar rogue estate agent lists have served to do, but this privately-held list is effectively useless.
