Renting a home outside London becoming more expensive, latest index shows

According to the Landbay rental index, renting a home in Britain outside of London is becoming more expense as rents paid rise and pay falls.

Outside of the capital the average rent paid for a residential property was £750 in December. Over the course of 2016 this figure increased by 2.04%. With average incomes of £1,425 per month, this means that rental payments now account for 53% of the average take home pay for people living outside London.
