Repair delays experienced by half of tenants

A study conducted by online letting agent PropertyLetByUs.com has found that almost 50% of tenants experience delays in getting work done and a third of tenants has had to deal with a landlord or letting agent refusing to fix a broken item. In September 2015, Peterborough City Council successfully brought prosecutions against three private landlords who failed to make repairs at the properties they let out. This resulted in landlords being ordered to pay a total of £19,550 in fines and costs.
