Report from The National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux disputed

It appears that organisations and individuals are queuing up to discredit the findings of a recent report from the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux. The basic tenor of the report is that private landlords are providing a sub-standard service whilst “pocketing £5.6bn in rent on unsafe housing”. Those disputing the report’s claims include  the National Landlords’ Association (NLA), the Residential Landlords’ Association *RLA) and the Housing Minister Brandon Lewis. Richard Lambert, Chief Executive Officer of the NLA suggests that the report uses loose definitions to compound a perception that private housing is insecure and unsuitable across the board, and it ignores the weight of evidence to the contrary.
