Sound, social policy, or simply a strategy to win votes?

The Residential Landlords Association says that Labour’s plans to abolish fees paid by tenants to letting agents are political posturing and are not based on sound, evidence-based policy.

They suggest that the only way to reduce the cost of living for tenants is to boost the supply of homes available for rent, rather than introduce policies that will discourage landlords from investing in property.
