RentPro Server - Your own installation for maximum control

As standard, RentPro is installed on our server farm located on the Amazon Web Services platform. This affords all the benefits relating to cloud computing power and data security, in a cost-effective manner without the hassle involved with a client maintaining a server in their own offices. However, some businesses will have well-established, mature IT infrastructures and would like, for a variety of reasons, to host applications such as RentPro within their own environment. Our RentPro Server option allows tech-savvy clients to do just that.

System installation

When your server is ready with the above software fully installed and configured, our team will require remote secure shell (SSH) access in order to install the RentPro system files, and create and initialise the RentPro database.

During the installation we will install the licence keys on the server which will be valid for the duration of the agreed licence term. The software will cease to function if valid keys are not present.

While ordering or enquiring about the RentPro Server installation you will need to decide whether you require a RentPro Business or RentPro Max system install. The features and functionality are the same as the standard hosted product versions. Similarly, the managed property limit may be upgraded as required. A new licence key will be installed when any upgrade is performed.

System upgrades

In order to keep the RentPro application software up to date we will require ongoing secure external access to the server from our offices. This access may be constrained and managed in whatever manner you desire, e.g. restricted by private keys, or IP address. We will pre-agree out-of-hours maintaince windows during which we will apply software upgrades.

System support

Ongoing customer support will be by either telephone or email.

IMPORTANT: We will not be responsible in any way for the maintainance or monitoring of the server software or hardware. The RentPro Server maintenance agreement will only cover installation and upgrade of the RentPro application code and associated database.
