All rental homes soon to require carbon monoxide detectors

A private member’s bill which would make it a legal requirement to install a functioning carbon monoxide detector in every rental and new build property has had its second reading in the House of Commons. About 40 fatalities occur each year due to carbon monoxide poisoning. A survey from Axa Business Insurance shows that 60% of rental properties have no carbon monoxide alarm.
