Government reports backing for clampdown on rogue agents and landlords

In publishing a summary of the 600 responses it has received to its recent consultation process, the Department of Communities and Local Government says that there is overwhelming support for its clampdown on rogue agents and landlords. The views detailed in the report covered a range of topics, including the availability of data held by Tenancy Deposit Protection schemes, the creation of a blacklist of rogue landlords and letting agents and the issuing of Rent Repayment Orders where tenants have been illegally evicted.
