Landlord’s plea to Chancellor in advance of budget

The Residential Landlords Association (RLA) has called on George Osborne to use this week’s budget to provide additional support to the private rented sector and thereby stimulate the development of new homes across the country. Alan Ward, the RLA chairman, has urged the Chancellor to seize the opportunity to encourage growth in the sector by introducing changes to the tax system to adequately recognise small scale landlords as undertaking a business activity which it currently does not.
