London agents turning to social media to assist in vetting tenants
Online profiles are increasingly being used by London letting agents when choosing between prospective tenants. Agents report the uncovering of sex workers, people traffickers and even a woman running a pop-up restaurant from her current flat.
The detective work undertaken by agencies is also used to weed out those who don’t intend to live in the property themselves, but rather advertise it on sites such as Airbnb for short term lets.
