Propertymark launches as the new brand for NAEA, ARLA and NAVA
The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) and National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA) have together rebranded themselves as Propertymark in order to raise awareness about standards within the property industry.
From today the three organisations have re-branded themselves and added Propertymark to their logos. Their website is now live at:www.propertymark.co.uk. Agents who are part of the scheme and feature the Propertymark logo in their branch window are required to sign up to a range of regulatory, financial and insurance standards. This includes participation in a branded client money protection scheme, having trained staff who are continuously updated on legislative change and best practice, submitting independently audited accounts each year, being a member of a redress scheme, holding professional indemnity insurance and adhering to the organisations code of practice.
David Cox (ARLA) and Mark Hayward (NAEA) have released a joint statement saying; “At present customers don’t know where to go for advice or can’t be sure if they are dealing with a professional. We are changing this. We will reach out to customers directly so they recognise Propertymark and understand that by using a Propertymark Protected agent they and their money are safe”
