Tax break cuts could force 1 in 5 landlords out of business
The Annual Landlord Report, produced by Access Legal has revealed that a fifth of landlords will be out of business in the next two years due to tax break cuts announced by the government. Unpaid rent arrears and damage to properties costs UK landlords £9.9 billion every year. These equates to a staggering £6,600 per landlord. Unsurprisingly, many landlords feel that the law sides with tenants as the costs of operating a business in the private rented sector continue to grow.
