Zoopla’s Record Traffic in 1st Half of January

More evidence that people are looking for property

Property search website Zoopla.co.uk has reported record high levels of visits to its website, along with sky-high downloads and usage of its mobile apps during the first half of January, normally a slow period of year for real estate portals due to the ‘after-Holidays’ dip in business. 

It seems that house hunting is actually an exception to this rule, as Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of Zoopla states that, “January is traditionally a strong month for house-hunter search in the UK as people return from their Christmas breaks and start fulfilling their New Year resolutions, one of which can be to move homes. Our growth so far this January has particularly strong as a result of both our current marketing campaign, which is our biggest to date, and stronger than usual market activity. We are encouraged by the great start to 2012 and are looking forward to launching a number of exciting new features for both users and agents in the coming months.
